In this guide, you’ll learn how Userpilot integrations work, what each connector does, and where it fits in your product growth stack.

How Userpilot integrations work

Before the catalog, it helps to see the four ways Userpilot shares in-product engagement data with the rest of your stack. Those are native integrations, Webhooks, the HTTP API, and Data Sync. Native connectors can usually be enabled straight from the Integrations page without custom development.

Most integrations are outbound. They send Userpilot engagement data, including flow interactions, checklist activity, survey responses, NPS feedback, forms, and custom events, into external tools where other teams work.

A few connectors also run inbound. HubSpot, Salesforce, and Segment can push CRM or CDP attributes back into Userpilot, which you then use for segmentation and personalized in-app experiences. For anything without a native connector, Webhooks or the HTTP API cover the gap, and Enterprise customers can export raw event data into their warehouse through Data Sync.

Here is how the native connectors line up by direction and plan, so you can see the catalog before reading the details on each job.

Integration

Direction

Plan availability

HubSpot

Two-way

Included on Enterprise, add-on on Growth

Salesforce

Two-way

Included on Enterprise, add-on on Growth

Amplitude

Userpilot to Amplitude

All plans

Mixpanel

Userpilot to Mixpanel

All plans

Heap

Userpilot to Heap

All plans

Segment

Two-way (events out, source and install in)

All plans

Google Tag Manager

Install and attributes in, triggers out

All plans

Google Analytics

Userpilot to Google Analytics

All plans

Intercom

Userpilot to Intercom

All plans

Zendesk

Zendesk to Userpilot (Resource Center)

Growth and Enterprise

Slack

Userpilot to Slack

All plans

CRM integrations: Put product behavior next to customer records

This is the integration category I would wire up first, because it changes how sales and customer success work day to day. HubSpot and Salesforce are both two-way native integrations. They are included with the Enterprise plan and available as paid add-ons for Growth customers.

Going from Userpilot to the CRM, you can sync user and company properties, measured properties, feature usage, tagged pages, and custom events. You can also send engagement with flows, checklists, surveys, forms, and NPS, so a CRM record reflects what the account actually does inside the product. That enriched record is what triggers automations and sharpens health scoring.

Coming back the other way, HubSpot or Salesforce can sync CRM properties into Userpilot: lifecycle stage, account status, plan, owner, renewal date, and custom fields. You then use those attributes for segmentation, personalization, and real-time in-app targeting. A user on a trial that renews next week can see a different message than one who signed up yesterday.

Rather than a fixed identifier, admins configure how Userpilot users and companies map to CRM records using matching fields, and email is the recommended identifier for users. For Salesforce specifically, inbound and outbound syncs are set up separately, and an initial inbound sync has to run before outbound data can be sent.

The reason this category matters is that behavioral product data belongs alongside traditional CRM data. When a renewal conversation is coming up, a CSM should not have to switch tools to learn that the account stopped using a core feature three weeks ago. With the CRM enriched by product engagement, health scoring, onboarding, renewals, lifecycle messaging, and expansion, all become easier to act on from the system those teams already live in.

Analytics integrations: Analyze Userpilot events in your product analytics stack

Amplitude, Mixpanel, and Heap are available on all plans, and they run in one direction: from Userpilot to the analytics platform. They send Userpilot event data into the tool your team already uses, so onboarding and product engagement get analyzed next to the rest of your product data.

The use case is concrete. You can study feature adoption, funnels, retention, conversions, and user journeys with Userpilot events sitting alongside the events your product already tracks. Nothing gets replaced; the analytics stack you have simply sees more of the picture.

It is worth being honest about when this matters. Userpilot already includes funnels, paths, retention, and dashboards, so these connectors earn their place mainly when an organization wants every behavioral signal analyzed inside one central analytics platform.

The Amplitude integration, the Heap integration, and the Mixpanel connector each follow the same pattern, so setup is familiar once you have done one.

CDP and install connectors: Route data and deploy without code

Segment and Google Tag Manager are both available on all plans, and they show up most often during implementation. Of the two, Segment plays two complementary roles at once.

First, you can send Userpilot events into Segment, where they get distributed to the analytics, marketing, and data tools already connected there. Second, Userpilot can be installed through Segment and use it as a data source for user and company attributes, which makes segmentation and personalized experiences easier to power. The Segment integration effectively lets one connection feed several downstream tools.

Google Tag Manager acts mainly as a deployment method. It lets you install Userpilot without modifying application code, pass user and company attributes into Userpilot, and fire GTM tags from Userpilot events. For teams waiting on engineering time, installing through GTM is often the fastest way to get live.

Google Analytics: Connect acquisition to in-app behavior

The Google Analytics integration is one-way, Userpilot to Google Analytics, and it is available on all plans. It pairs two views that rarely sit together: website and campaign performance on the Google Analytics side, in-app engagement on the Userpilot side.

Side by side, the two data sets show how users from a given acquisition channel or campaign behave once they are inside the product, not just whether they clicked through.

Support and messaging: Put product signals where teams respond

Three connectors cover the tools where support, CS, and marketing spend their day. Each works a little differently, so it helps to take them one at a time.

Intercom is a one-way native integration, Userpilot to Intercom, available on all plans. It syncs Userpilot events, including flow, checklist, survey, form, and NPS activity, onto each user’s Intercom profile, so Support and CS can see in-app behavior without leaving Intercom. Those events can trigger Intercom Workflows, Messages, and Segments for behavior-based automation, and Userpilot’s resource center can surface Intercom help center content and the Messenger inside your product.

Zendesk is a one-way integration in the other direction, Zendesk to Userpilot, available on Growth and Enterprise plans. It centers on the resource center, surfacing Zendesk help center articles and the Web Widget inside your product so users get help without leaving the app. Unlike Intercom, it does not sync behavioral data back and forth.

Slack is a one-way native integration, Userpilot to Slack, available on all plans. It sends real-time notifications when users complete flows and checklists, respond to surveys, submit NPS feedback, or trigger selected Userpilot events. Teams can also receive system, digest, and Signal notifications in Slack, which lets Product, CS, Support, and Marketing act on product activity without watching a dashboard all day.

The MCP Server: Bring Userpilot data into your AI tools

The Userpilot MCP Server connects Userpilot to an MCP-compatible AI assistant and lets you query product data in plain language. You can ask about retention trends, feature adoption, onboarding performance, at-risk accounts, behavioral signals, NPS feedback, and session insights without opening Userpilot at all.

What makes this matter is who gets access. Marketing, customer success, sales, and leadership can pull these insights from their preferred AI workspace, which extends product data well beyond the people who log into Userpilot every day.

This is where our CEO, Yazan Sehwail, frames the shift most clearly. He puts the value in terms of a single marketer getting an answer without a data pull:

“If you as a marketer wanted to see, using session replay, NPS data, survey data, and product usage data, you’re able to get your answer without having to go to Userpilot, without having to pull data and upload it to someone. So this is why MCP is gonna be a game changer.”

That is the natural extension of everything above. Integrations have always moved data between products, and the MCP Server now makes the same behavioral data accessible inside the AI tools where more of the work is happening.

The Userpilot MCP Server gives any MCP-compatible AI assistant a direct line to your product usage data.

Custom integrations: Webhooks and the API

When a tool has no native connector, webhooks and the HTTP API cover it. Webhooks are available on Growth, capped at three, and on Enterprise with no limit, and they are not part of the Starter plan.

Setting one up is simple: name the webhook, set the endpoint URL, choose the events to send, attach up to 10 user or company properties, secure it with a secret token, and enable it. That is enough to push Userpilot events into most systems that can receive an HTTP request.

For real-time, programmatic integrations, the HTTP API is available on Growth and Enterprise plans. If you need to move historical data in bulk, Bulk Event Import and Bulk Event Export are available as add-ons rather than being bundled into the base plans.

Data Sync: Userpilot data in your warehouse and BI tools

Data Sync is an Enterprise capability, and it is available as an add-on on the Growth plan. It exports Userpilot event data into your data warehouse, where product usage can sit next to CRM, support, billing, and other business data.

From there, teams run custom reporting and analysis in tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI. Think of Data Sync as the outbound path for organizations that would rather analyze Userpilot data inside their own reporting infrastructure than inside Userpilot.

How to set up a native integration in Userpilot

Once you’ve decided which integrations you need, enabling them only takes a few minutes. Userpilot manages all native integrations from a single Configure → Integrations page, where you can connect supported tools and complete the required setup.

To get started:

Open Configure → Integrations in your Userpilot workspace.

Select the integration you want to connect.

Authenticate your account if prompted.

Complete the required setup steps and save your configuration.

Verify that the integration is connected and data is syncing as expected.

Tip: If you have any trouble enabling any integration, click on the “Get Help” widget in the bottom right corner to open the in-app resource center and chat with an agent.

Get on-demand support with Userpilot’s resource center.

How to integrate Userpilot with other tools

If the tool you want to connect doesn’t have a native Userpilot integration, you can use Webhooks, the HTTP API, or Data Sync instead.

To connect another tool using Webhooks:

Go to Settings → Integrations → Webhooks in Userpilot

Userpilot webhooks tab.

Click Create Webhook and enter a descriptive name.

Add the destination endpoint URL for the tool you want to connect.

Select the Userpilot events you want to send.

(Optional) Include up to 10 user or company properties with each event.

Add a secret token so the receiving application can verify incoming requests.

Save the webhook and enable it.

Userpilot’s Webhook setup process.

For more advanced integrations, developers can use the HTTP API to build custom integrations between Userpilot and internal systems or third-party applications.
