All teams (including my own, i.e., product teams) have to be involved in the process from start to end.<\/p>\n<p data-block-id=\"cs6he\">We have to oversee how we\u2019re <a href=\"https:\/\/userpilot.com\/product\/product-engagement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">engaging customers<\/a>, how we\u2019re structuring emails in our onboarding sequence, and what user experience we\u2019re providing once they\u2019re on the app.<\/p>\n<p data-block-id=\"b93su\">As such, I\u2019ve not only overseen a fair share of <a href=\"https:\/\/userpilot.com\/blog\/onboarding-emails\/\">onboarding emails<\/a> but have also received and responded to quite a few of them.<\/p>\n<p data-block-id=\"f8hsl\">Based on my experience, here are a few onboarding email templates that I believe can serve as inspiration!<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"7f48g\" data-block-id=\"7f48g\">Types of customer onboarding emails<\/h2>\n<p data-block-id=\"8m8j4\">From what I\u2019ve seen, almost every onboarding process has the following types of emails:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Welcome emails:<\/strong> This is sent as soon as a new user signs up. In this email, you introduce your product or service and its USP to your customers. You also write a brief note to let them know you\u2019re grateful to have them onboard.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check-in emails:<\/strong> After the initial welcome email, a check-in email is typically sent to keep <a href=\"https:\/\/userpilot.com\/blog\/engaged-user\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">users engaged<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/userpilot.com\/blog\/improve-customer-satisfaction\/\">and improve customer satisfaction<\/a>. They\u2019re usually prompted when there\u2019s been some inactivity.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Demo activation emails:<\/strong> If a customer has booked a demo on your website, a demo activation email is sent.
